Good food, good salsa. I got food poisoning at the other El Ranchero on hwy 54...so this one is much better for those not wanting food poisoning.

Truly shocked ......: we had come to appreciate their new approach to food after the owner Pedro brought his Chef son to the U.S. from Guadalajara, MX. While he and partner/co-owner Oscar had little to no customer empathy the food had drastically improved, and was somewhat a treat. To make s long story short we had gone to truly appreciate the new Chipolte Mayonnaise the son had introduced. Nothing special but a stepped up mayo. We ordered a burger and asked for the new Chipolte mayo with the standard ketchup and mustard. We were somewhat shocked when we were charged $1 for what was no more than a tablespoon of Chipolte mayo. When we questioned Pedro we were told specialty foods were charged for. I paid the up charge and called who I thought was my buddy Oscar to complain. He apologized. While I had heard others had been banned for complaining ...,: I was shocked when I returned 2 weeks later to eat and I was told they gave decided not to serve us ...:::: apparently ....:: because we complained we are no longer welcome to their restaurant ....:::: welcome to Guadalajara where the wealthy business owners treat their customers with no respect

I have to say that I am a very critical patron, but while visiting Peachtree, I had the pleasure of meeting Alexis. My family and I require attention, my son gets fidgety as he has ADHD, and can be a handful but Alexis didn't falter. She is a very patient and compassionate young lady. Awesome with special needs kids as she did not miss a beat with our son, he absolutely loves her. Will definitely see her again when we get back there!

My family and I eat here a lot. I usually get the same thing but tonight I tried something different. I ordered the Enchilada Pacifico which is 3 enchiladas filled with shrimp and tilapia fish and had rice and beans for sides. I was very surprised at how good it was. I will say that it could have used a little more kick but over all it was good and I would defiantly order it again.

Every time we come to town, my husband wants to go to this restaurant, and every time it gets worse. He comes for the cheese dip, which looks runny to me. This time, the only item the staff would swear was milk-free was the tortilla chips and water. I've had burritos and tacos here in years past, but either the staff was lazy or they chanced their recipes. It's not like the food has ever been good, though, so I didn't fell like I was missing anything.

This used to be the best El Ranchero in the area! The other PTC location is a million times better. It seriously tasted like the fajitas were cooked in butter and nothing else. I ordered the Texas fajitas but didn't get the shrimp that was supposed to come with them. After we told the waitress about it her response after about 15 minutes of discussing it with the manager and 2 other waiters was "I don't know what they're doing about it." Finally the manager came up and asked, "You want some shrimp with your fajita?" Um. Yes please because it's supposed to come with it?! By then we weren't even hungry anymore. Not a good experience at all. And on top of it all the chips were burnt.

I use to only go here for the Chorizo Dip, and that use to make up for the lackluster food but last time I got it it wasn't enough. The food is not that bad, but it use to be so much better.

ok, my third time gave me a new appreciation for this place. especially since I have now tried other "Mexican" places in the area. This is definitely the best. of the lot. I skipped the items on the menu I tried last time and stayed with the always-safe-on-a-menu-staple: fajitas!! I don't know what spice mix the rubbed the chicken, steak and veggies with (it may have been fajita seasoning from Kroger) but it was GOOD. Traditional dishes include meat, bell peppers, onions. That's what I got. I was really glad because after my Chile Rellano fiasco I was scared. My fiance had the Speedy Gonzales, which is a taco and enchilada. He orders nothing else and I really don't understand why. I would really like to see a dish that didn't include melted white American cheese. That would be nice. $1.25 margaritas at lunch!!

Not very clean. The food is so-so. There are better Mexican restaurants.

Goto commerce drive or newnan location - this place has taken a major dive in food quality and service is even worse! What a shame.

Finally got to enjoy the patio at El Ranchero for lunch last Sunday. Had a terrific waitress. Food was great. Service was attentive. I had the grilled Talapia and shrimp at a reasonable $10.95 that was prepared just right. The other different dish that was tried was the chicken in the green sauce (don't recall the name), served with rice, salad and tortillas.... all reports was that it was YUM! Fajita nachos, burritos, chicken quesidilla were all winners too. Can't wait to go back.

I eat here very regularly. The food is good, the service is good and the prices are good. They serve large groups and parties very well and have always been very efficient.

Oh how I love El Ranchero. I've been coming to this place since I was like 5. Everything on the menu is good, they have cheap stiff drinks (you know that's a must for me), and they always have drinks on special. I used to actually hate this location, I felt like I never ever ever got even mediocre service, but I started coming here frequently with friends and it seems like when I was there with regulars or when I had a server who remembered me I got FANTASTIC service. Kind of prejudiced, but whatever. I take what I can get. They're currently undergoing a huge renovation and updating the place and it looks great already.

The food was average and not to tasty. I had steak fajitas. I went with three other people and none of us enjoyed the food or dining experience! The service was lousy as well. Will never go back!

Love this place! Very nostalgic. I started going here when I was seven with my family when they closed down are favorite at the time, La Fiesta. Very good authentic Mexican dishes. They are so quick getting your food out too that i almost don't get a chance on the chips and salsa which you have to have. This is another place that I would go to hang out with friends when we just want to chill and relax. Cheap food, cheaper beer, great time. The only reason I don't give it the full 5 stars is because as I reside in Los Angeles currently, I have tasted TRUE authentic Mexican food.

One of the top places to get Mexican food in Peachtree City. It is the main place I go in the area to get my burrito fix. The number 1 way I judge a Mexican restaurant is on it's salsa. Make sure the bring you both of their bowls of salsa, both the chunky tomato and the hotter puree style salsa. Both salsas are good but mixing them together gets the best of both worlds. Typically I get either one of the burrito platters or I split the Nachos Rancheros with my wife (messy but tasty). I wish Yelp would let me give 3.5 stars but I'm saving my 4 for a really really good Mexican place.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
